Beginning Band Camp Starts Monday!
Beginning Band Camp is for current 6th-grade students who will be starting beginning band this year.
All 7th-grade students should attend GYS’s Panther Preview instead.
Registration
If you completed the registration form, your student is registered!
There is no separate confirmation email. Simply have your student arrive Monday morning with their instrument.

Camp Information
Dates: Monday, July 20–Friday, July 24
Time: 8:00–11:00 a.m.
Location: GYS Band Room (park in the south parking lot, doors are right behind the gates!)
What Students Should Bring
Their instrument
A water bottle
A pencil
Comfortable clothes and shoes they can move in
Instrument Rentals
Students must bring their own instrument to camp.
At this point, the quickest way to obtain a quality rental instrument is to call one of the music stores listed below. Please call ahead to confirm that the instrument you need is available.

The Mountain View School District Band Family includes students from across the district, starting with Beginning Band classes at each elementary school. These young musicians learn the fundamentals of reading music, playing their instruments, and performing together as a team.
At Grace Yokley Junior High, students continue their musical journey in one of two ensembles: Junior Band, where they build on foundational skills and explore more complex music, and Senior Band, our advanced ensemble for experienced players ready to take on greater musical challenges.
Whether it’s their first note or their hundredth concert, every student in our program is part of something special: a community built on growth, creativity, and the joy of making music together.
